SIIM Awards
Awards of the Society of Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM):
The Roger A. Bauman, MD Award is presented for the best student paper each year at the annual meeting. This award was named to honor Dr. Bauman’s distinguished career in radiological informatics research and practice and his status as Founding Editor of the Journal of Digital Imaging.
Scientific Hypothesis-Driven Awards and Scientific Innovation Awards, are awarded at the SIIM Annual Meeting to the best scientific posters and demonstrations on display.
Travel awards presented to the annual meeting to new investigators with an area of study and interest in imaging informatics, who are in a full-time training program, or who have completed their training program within 2 years of the SIIM Annual Meeting. Individuals must present the accepted scientific paper at the annual meeting.
Annual awards by the Journal of Digital Imaging (JDI) Editorial Board to the Best Papers and Most Valuable Reviewers for the year.
An essay contest that provides residents with travel support to the SIIM Annual Meeting along with one-year complimentary membership in SIIM.
Information on how to submit an abstract for the SIIM 2013 Annual Meeting and apply for SIIM 2013 scientific awards will be available summer of 2012.
