SIIM is coordinating and leading the educational effort to prepare certification candidates through its Imaging Informatics Professional Education Advisory Network (EAN), created for this express purpose. Start your preparation for the ABII CIIP exam by reviewing the EAN learning objectives for each of the 10 domains of the ABII test content outline.

The 2007 Imaging Informatics Professional (IIP) Symposium WebSeminar. An introductory course of study that will get you started on meeting your professional goals to be an effective imaging informatics professional.

SIIM publications for professionals in this growing field include the SIIM/SCAR University Digital Medical Enterprise Primer series, the imaging informatics administration supplement to the Journal of Digital Imaging, and the Imaging Informatics Professional Course Syllabi, which contains detailed presentation information and sample test questions from the pre-conference symposia at previous SCAR/SIIM Annual Meetings.

The next full-day Imaging Informatics Professional Symposium will take place at SIIM 2008 in Seattle, WA on May 14, 2008.

New! Journal of Digital Imaging Blog

SIIM has entered the blog world with its very first blog for the society’s peer-reviewed journal, the Journal of Digital Imaging (JDI). The blog will be moderated by JDI Editor-in-Chief Janice Honeyman-Buck, PhD. Visit the JDI Blog and post your comments on articles, editorials, new research, and all things JDI-related, or email us directly. What is Imaging Informatics?

Medical imaging informatics is a relatively new multidisciplinary field that intersects with the biological sciences, health services, information sciences and computing, medical physics, and engineering. Imaging informatics touches every aspect of the imaging chain and forms a bridge with imaging and other medical disciplines.
